It is of course durable! : Heath Outdoor Products 696 Le Grande Gazebo Feeder

I just purchased my second Gazebo feeder. The first one provided great aid for over eight years before the wood rotted. Of course, it weathered in appearance quite quickly but a small paint job quickly made it look fresh again. Not only is the wood durable but so are the sliding plastic panes. An additional feature is that it holds a lot of feed so if you can keep those pesky (but creative) squirrels away, you will only have to fill it occasionally.

It takes some installation. I set the pole in concrete to be safe bet that it stayed level and in place. Altogether I think it took about an hour to set it up. The pole is still there which makes installation of the change much quicker!

It is a nice product. Enjoy it!

When shopping, this firepit was just what I was seeing for. After reading some of the reviews, I was hesitant because some of the folks commenting about the legs breaking off. I figured I would get it and see what I could do. Once I got it and assembled it, I could tell what the problem is. The legs bolt straight through the cast iron basin and have no support. Since cast iron is quite brittle, I can see that the legs could in effect break a chunk out of the lowest where the legs attach. I remedied this by buying a six foot length of 1/8 x 1/2 steel from the local home correction store. I bent it into a quadrate so that it fit inside and touched all four legs. I drilled straight through it and the legs, and attached with four bolts. This essentially tied all four legs together and added a lot of needed keep (much like the strechers that attach the lower measure of legs together on a chair). I then painted it Bbq black and it looks like it is part of the design. In my opinion...it should have had this brace to begin with. A pit that weighs this much (and even more with wood inside) should have beefier attachment points.

If you plan on buying this and not tantalizing it around often, I think it would be adequate as-is. However, if you're going to be wheeling it especially over grass or dirt, I would recommend the above fix to forestall the basin from cracking at the leg attachment point. I'm very happy with it now and have used it some times. I should also mention that Amazon was the cheapest place for this goods and had free shipping...that's what sold me on Amazon.
